Our DNS resolvers are only available when connected via IDNet. Attempting to use them on a 3rd party network will fail.
DNS over HTTPS is still in testing and is provided on a best efforts basis.

Outgoing quotas will apply when sending emails via smtp.idnet.com - to protect the servers reputation we may suspend (without warning) outgoing access to accounts that do not login via pop/imap/webmail regularly, have very weak passwords or have been sending spam.
TLS1.2 is recommended for SMTP, POP & IMAP connections and required for Webmail and account administration. TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1 will be retired soon, please ensure you are using a modern mail client capable of current encryption standards.
If you are sending messages via a mail server please see the SmartHost settings below.
The following settings are required for SmartHosting from a server connected to an IDNet supplied internet service, IDNet colocated server or from our web hosting service. No username/password is required. Smart-hosting is not supported from non IDNet IP addresses.

We do not block any ports on your IDNet service so you may use your own mail server to send e-mails directly (without any quotas or filtering), but please be aware of our Acceptable Use Policy
If you require a reverse DNS entry for your mailserver please contact our support team at support@idnet.com.
The above settings are the only supported settings. Other settings may have been provided in the past and may still work but are not supported and not guaranteed to work in the future.
